A small ceremony followed by the biggest party : a cinematic Liverpool wedding starting in St George's Hall and continued at the Invisible Wind Factory

Hannah & Dan are living proof that you don’t have to choose between an intimate, meaningful wedding day and a full-on celebration — you can absolutely have both.

Their day began in the stunning St George’s Hall in Liverpool, surrounded by just 30 of their nearest and dearest. It was quiet in the best way. Slow, emotional, full of hugs, happy tears and those moments where you really get to breathe and take it all in. The kind of wedding atmosphere I will always have a soft spot for — where every single person there truly matters.

After the ceremony, they headed to one of the most unusual (and brilliant) venues I’ve ever photographed: The Invisible Wind Factory. Normally a rollerskating disco, this space was transformed into a psychedelically colourful, joy-filled celebration that felt completely personal to Hannah & Dan.

Choosing somewhere so bold and different might have felt daring to some, but it turned into something extraordinary. The colours, the lights, the energy — everything reflected who they are as a couple and the kind of night they wanted to create.

As the evening rolled in, their guest list grew to 220 people, the music turned up loud with an indie rock band taking over the dance floor, and the whole place became one huge, beautiful party that went on into the late hours of the night.

What I loved most about this wedding wasn’t just how epic the celebration was — it was how intentional it felt. Hannah & Dan followed their gut, trusted their instincts, and built a day that truly represented them.

And that’s where the magic always happens.

Whether you’re dreaming of something small and intimate, a wild colourful party, or — like these two legends — a perfect mix of both, your wedding doesn’t need to follow rules to be meaningful. The happiest days are the ones where you do it your way.

Huge thank you to my amazing partner Ritchie, who joined me as second photographer and captured so many of these moments alongside me.
