About me
I am half Italian, half Welsh, giving me both Mediterranean and Celtic roots, which is a good explanation as to why I feel my spirit to be very eclectic and I don't really fit into set boxes too much. I want everything all the time, and I always want to be everywhere!
I now live in the beautiful and inspiring North Wales with my partner Ritchie and my two dogs, Skye and Freyja.
I am a very visual person and love everything to do with creativity. The first time I picked up a serious camera was in 2009, and since then, the dream of being a professional photographer grew and grew, until I could not contain it anymore and just had to give it a go, and give myself that chance to be happy. I have not always had the chance to express myself as a visual artist, and now that at last I can, I identify as a photographer more than anything else.
I also have a completely separate career in veterinary medicine, which has shaped me and made me grow into the person I am today, and without it, my photographer life may not have been possible. I owe a lot to my vet days. They have given me resilience, determination, drive, patience, compassion, and obviously I bloody love animals.

I have two border collies, Skye and Freya (if you're coming from instagram you've probably already seen my perfect puppies) and they are one of the greatest joys of my life. Skye (the blue merle boy) is my first and favourite (yes, I am saying it!) child, my therapy dog, my best friend, my soul mate. Freyja (the black and white girl) is more of a loose cannonball (one of her nick-names is crackhead!) but she gives the best cuddles in the land and she's perfect just the way she is. She did not have a good start in life as she was an RSPCA rescue and I adopted her at the age of one, but being neglected never affected her spirit and I am very proud of the confident and happy girl she is.

I am a hopeless romantic.
Arielinblue, my brand name, comes from my Italian past life, "ariel" is a name that always resonated with me as the little mermaid was the first movie I ever watched at the cinema and I have a very deep connection with the sea, I learned to swim when I was really small and marine imagery has always been hugely important in my life. The colour blue is very meaningful for me, it's my mum's colour and it gives me peace. Whales are my favourite animal, and I think somehow they represent me, they're sea mammals, they live in the water but they need to come to the surface to breathe, and I feel a bit like a mixture of a marine and earthly creature as well.

Hi, I'm Alessandra.
I am a visual artist,
a deep thinker, a big dreamer,
a get-up and go-er,
Celtic music and nature lover
get yourself a dog
who laughs at your jokes
like mine does!
forests, indie rock, dresses, earrings, airplane tickets and Tuscany countryside

I love being immersed in nature and taking long walks in the woods, which is the only type of meditation that I am successful at.
When it comes to music, my go to is indie rock, but if I need to be concentrated or inspired I will always stick on some good Celtic music.
I own an embarassing quantity of flowy dresses (I have waaaaay too many) and I have a gigantic collection of earrings.

I struggle to stay in the same place for long periods of time and one of my toxic traits is that if you invite me on a trip there is a 99.9% chance I will come along, which means I am often sleep deprived, but for good reason!!!

I lived in Tuscany, Italy, for 6 years and I go back there every time I have the chance (usually once a year) as it has a really special place in my heart. One of my dreams is to retire toTuscany to a villa in the countryside and live there for the rest of my days.

I have also taken roadtrips to Iceland, Scotland and Portugal in where I have conducted many of my favourite photoshoots under every weather condition possible. My photography is a constant discovery and I am happy to try new things if I have the opportunity. I would love to tell your story.
Why I Love What I Do
Photography has led me to places I could have never imagined, but most of all, it has taken me to beautiful people. The connections I have built photographing people are some of the best I have ever made in my life.
Being photographed is a deeply personal experience, you are letting somebody in to represent your world, and it is an absolute honour and joy for me to do it. It is happiness to let you see yourself with new eyes, and recognise how incredible you are, even if sometimes you might not think so.
My goal is to tell your story in the most authentic and personal way possible.
I may be a lot for some people, I am perhaps very Italian in this. I talk a lot, I open up very easily, as my partner always likes to tell me, I wear my heart on my sleeve. I am an open book.
So I may be too much for some people, and that's ok.
But if you like me, we'll be friends for life.
